soooo.... after much waiting, i finally got a great dr, had the necessary tests and am about to start treatment again.   i thought i was so ready for this, but now that it is my reality, i am in fact pretty nervous.   i am feeling very lucky to have a great support system in place, but i kinda have a hard time relying on others and im a bit nervous about pushing myself too hard.  i am def going to start a video blog.... first edition tonight.   well, if anyone has any advice, i am more than happy to hear it!

Hello Heather, Sounds like you are off to a good start with having a great doctor, test done and a good support system...
It is only natural to be nervous before starting..I imagen you were the first round too.. I don't really have any advice that you probally don't already know...eat healthy, drink plenty of water and get alot of rest...which sounds easy enough, but I know you have a little boy you must take care of too..that's where your support system comes in and excepting the help when you need it.. I have a tough time relying on others too.. But in times like these's it is not only our welfare we must worry about but our kids as well..As it can be a reall struggle just taking care of oursellves on TX...

I wish you all the best with your video blog...I think it is a great idea and a good outlet for you to vent...

Good luck Heather!   Keep us updated.  It'll be nice to hear  from another treating hepper.  I seriously can't wait for this round to be done for me.  Riba rash has now taken over my neck as well as my face and it's rather uncomfy.

Hey Missy, man look at the bright side.  If barbarian hordes storm across the state border raping and pillaging, just maybe that there RIBA rash will save you a world of hurt 'cause they ain't a gonna mess with ya.

So, shot one done and I'm feeling pretty good so far..... The RIBA gives me a stomachache and has been making me puke.  I'm trying to figure out how to remedy that..... I have some reglan and some prevacid but gotta ask the dr first.    The only only other thing is thaty scalp is itching like crazy! Started last night and I've been digging at it like crazy!  Any ideas on how I can fix that, or at lead make it a little bit better?

I take Zofran and Phenegran for the nausea. (I'm deathly allergic to Reglan... I get Tardive Dyskanesia with it).   My insurance company will only authorize 21 Zofran a month so I take then when I have to drive or function because Phenegran makes me sleepy.  As far as the itchy scalp, Nioxin products work well but they are expensive.   I've also had good luck with Pantene Restorative.  Do not wash your hair every day, it will contribute to the dry scalp.

so, i am now 5 shots in and i feel pretty good.  still maintaining a normal lifestyle, minus the drinking, and have only had minor side effects..... hoping for the best the whole way through!
