If I were you, and I turned out to be less than 2 logs, I would stop and just wait the 3 or 4 months for the new drugs to come out.  Did they do a 4 week count on you?  4 week is kind of important to ascertain whether or not you are a rapid responder.

You  should probably seem some kind of a drop but I'd be surprised if they are doing a viral load this soon.  Usually they do them at 4, 12, 24, 36 (optional) and end of tx.

Well, my 12 week log came down by 3, with a count of 4000.
Doc says continue this marathon another 36 weeks.
I am positive about this, but cautiously so.

Pacman,

I am assuming he is going to take another viral load at say 16 weeks and make sure it's is continuing downward?

I'll be honest, if at week 16 I wasn't UND I'd start considering stopping at the first sign of problems.  I've treated twice, both times had far greater drop then you did at week 12 was UND by week 24 and relapsed both times.

Not saying you should DC treatment, but you should be aware that your chances for success have lessened and if treatment gets tough on you or starts causing you problems you should consider that.
