Hey Miss Betty,

 I sure hope your okay. I read in the paper New Bern was hit really hard with flooding from Irene. I hope all is well and you can post to let us know you and your family are okay.

I was able to find out from a friend of Miss Betty's that she and Mr. Ray are o.k.  They don't have any electric or internet but they are physically o.k. and that's what matter.
