so i remembered my password and login i havent been on in about 2 years or so since i did my treatment! i cleared the virus thank god but havent gone to c if im still clear. to be honest im kind of scared actually really scared. i relasped into drinking heavy and im wondering if that would make my vl go back up??? I havent been drinking for about a month now and im doing good dont need it! im in a new relationship and i havent told my man that i had hep c i dont know what his reaction would be... is this something that i have to reveal to any partner i have??? or is it ok to not say hey i had hep c! Geesh never thought it would be so stressing to deal with that situation! anywho for those of you who dont remember me i was the baby of the bunch found out i had hep c at the age of ohhh 24 or 25... "its me" im back on and im glad im on here good to talk to people that understand and can respond with wisdom. thanks!!

I have relapsed twice so if you never had VL checked after your teatment you don't know your status.

FWIW my suggestion would be keep quiet but immediately set an appointment and get it checked.  If you are virus free personally I see no need to tell anyone.  However, if not...

 Get a PCR; you'll either have it or you won't.  Having the information is important so you can understand thew effect of the drinking.  I would also consider getting a fibrosure test to approximate you liver staging.

If you are still clear (SVR) the drinking may have less impact, but i don't recall your staging.  Obviously, if you are still infected drinking will be far harder on your liver and dramatically increase your damage.

I think you'll sleep better knowing the outcome of TX.

You are exstatic now.  Getting results and the scary part over with.  It is more scary not knowing than it is knowing.  I came back after 3 mo after Tx.  Still infected but my viral load has still dropped more since tx and I feel better now than I did then. Keep the Hope.
