Keep those fingers crossed.  I had my one year PCR drawn yesterday and could have the results as soon as tomorrow.

Oh how I want to sign in on that one year thread.

Did not realize a year.  Cool.

When it comes back undetectable try and forget who tried to talk you out of it. Grin

I also can't believe that it's been a year.  My gawd, it's been a busy year.

I'm hoping for a smooooother next year for you.  I'm thinking you should be paid up now for a few lifetimes.

I'm also glad to see that your cancer recovery is coming along.

Thanks Miss Helen.   Was kind of weird trying celebrate being 1 year clear right after having a bilateral mastectomy LOL.  But it does feel good.

And now when someone asks me if I have Hep C I can say "no, but I do have the antibody".   That's what my GI said the proper response is now.  He's so happy for me.   But ... it's important for all you heppers to know, even if you get SVR ... if you have progressed to cirrhosis  you HAVE to have that ultrasound and AFP Test every 6 months.  Unfortunately the stats are that areas of fibrosis may actually get better once the virus is gone but cirrhosis as a rule won't.  Each year that a person has cirrhosis, their chances of contracting liver cancer increases by 5%.  It's a very real and very scarey stat ... so if you are Hepper that has been fortunate enough to get SVR but have cirrhosis ... make sure you are diligent about getting your ultrasounds and AFP done every 6 months.
