The following is a copy of my facebook status for today.  I wanted to share it with my hepper friends because none of us are immune to this situation.   I love and care about each and every one of you and wanted to send a gentle reminder that our lives are not strictly run by our Hep C:

Breast cancer awareness month is coming to an end. Some of you are probably glad because now you won't see these annoying posts from me until Hepatitis Awareness month rolls around :-). My story: I am only 51, I was diagnosed VERY much to my surprise on July 11, 2011 with early breast cancer, Ductal Carcinoma In Situ... no biggy, do a lumpectomy get it out, zap it with radiation and it's over ... wrong... because of my prior history of Leukemia I could not do radiation. At the young age of 51 I lost a rather nice set of knockers. I'm currently under construction and I'll probably look like me again after the first of the year but ... I will never feel like me again. I have no feeling in breasts I cannot feel my husband touch me. Imagine that at 51. I might get some feeling back in a year or so but I will NEVER be the same. Please take this disease seriously because no matter how early they catch it ... it is a big deal. And please don't just think of this disease during the month of October 1 in 8 women will be diagnosed at any given time. With that .... I've done my best, thank you for listening to me nudge, push and whine.

With my deepest love to all of you.

All these awful diseases or illness are very tramantic to the person and it effects millions of families everyday.  Just everyday living for millions of us humans are effected each and very day with those stressful, painful, and financial are very hard to over-come and deal with.  As Mouse stated hopefully we can support other with their dreadful illness besides Hep C...which many of us do on a regular basic....One more week until I start round 2.  All ready have my tucks ready to be used....lol.
