For the record this is a true catch 22 situation for any male.
If you say it looks good there is the direct implication that perhaps you weren't so good looking before.
Same true if you say you look better, younger, tighter, sexier, and so on.
If however you opt to say you already looked good then it implies you wasted your time and money.
So to approve is to disapprove of previous appearance, to disapprove well that one is obvious, no male can ever win when disapproving of anything said or done by a female, to be neutral as noted implies frivolous spending.
So pray tell what is a male to say?

Let me put this in a way a male should be able to understand.
You decide to get a new tool chest, not that it doesn't hold the tool properly. But you have discovered some major rust and and you just want to be safe.
The tool store is having a overstock clearance sale.
So not only do you get to keep any of your old favorite tools that you learned your craft on.
You get to try out some specialty items that you may have missed the first time you got your toolbox.

LOL. O.k. let me put this in a honest prospective from the infamous Mouse.
1) I intend on fighting the aging process as much as I can. I was NOT happy with my appearance, I was starting to show my age. Even though I love to fish, I am so a girly girl ... I am truly my mother's daughter. I know for a fact had she lived longer and had enough $ she would have done the same thing. I bet she is looking down on me just smiling away.
2) I had an awful turkey waddle that just about everyone on my Dad's side of the family has and it was made worse by losing weight. That sucker just had to go. I couldn't grow a beard like my Dad did to hide his (unless I intended on joining the circus)
3) My upper lip started curling in after I got my denture and even when my denture was in it was starting to look like I didn't have any teeth.
I think my plastic surgeon did an excellent job on me I am really happy with the way I look now (I would have been thrilled if I just did the turkey waddle). So boys, it's o.k. to say that I look a lot better LOL.

In that case....
It really looks good!
Fighting aging, heck yep I'm on board with that. I spent over 30 grand just to avoid dentures as did my wife. Implants are awesome.
Had testosterone checked and would have gone for supplement there, alas mine is already well over normal limits so no go.
Considered HGH but the potential side effects scare the heck out of me.
If only they would hurry up with the Peter Pan Pill.

Well, my next, and hopefully last surgery in the breast cancer nightmare is scheduled for February 1. I have such an extremely busy January that this wait is going to go by very quick for me. Before surgery I'm scheduled to seem my PCP, have my liver ultrasound, see my GI, see the oncologist and my Dad and step mom are scheduled to arrive for their annual winter away from home trip on January and will be here through the second week of February with a side trip for them to the Carolinas on February 2, unless they decide to cancel that to hang out and watch me in my misery. :-)
This one will be done at the hospital as opposed to the surgical center at my doctor's facility. I guess it's a little more complicated than having the implants put in. By the way my New Years resolution was to stay out of the operating room after this surgery. Mousey be tired and can't wait to recover from all this.

I survived
. 2 days post and I'm up. Took a "bird bath", Bill washed my hair and I took a walk down the street and back. I did throw up 8 times after I got home which is something I didn't do after the first 2 surgeries.

8 days post what is hopefully my last breast surgery. Today I go for my follow up and hopefully have all these stitches removed. I'm guessing I have over 100 stitches right now. But before that I'm off to the sporting good's store to get a lighter cast net and a bicycle! I hope to be able to throw a cast net again by the end of summer. I have not been able to throw one since I was diagnosed with RA back in 2007 after my first round of treatment. Thank goodness I taught Bill how to throw one before that.
. I'm also hoping to be off the "nothing heavier than a milk jug" restriction today so I can get back out on the boat. Have not been fishing since I started my third round of treatment back in 2010. I have a girlfriend who is going to start cycling with me up to Dunkin Donuts in the mornings for coffee (no donuts LOL). I love my Wii Fit for exercise but with the warmer weather coming up I'd like to start mixing things up a little. I'm planning to get back on an exercise program ... again ... tomorrow. I have had to keep starting and stopping with all these surgeries and it annoys me.
On my Hep side, going to be doing my next ultrasound and endoscopy in June. I have an AFP draw coming up in the next month. My last labs show all my counts within normal. When I was carrying a viral load my ALT would always be slightly high (go figure, my AST was always within normal) so to see that stay normal is a good sign.
On the RA front .... I saw my Rheumy and he told me that the makers of Orencia have a new drug out. The plan for now is to get me back on the Humira (I'll be talking to the plastic surgeon about when I can go back on today ... he's not going to be happy but I need to be able to move better). Once my RA gets back in remission we are going to try the new drug which is supposed to have a lower cancer risk and is a little easier on the immune system. I tried to do an internet search on the "new" drug and couldn't find anything ... guess it would have helped if I had remember the name LOL. Apparently, like with Hep, there is a new class of drugs getting ready to be approved for RA.
Happy happy to all of you.

Well, it sounds like a LOT of stitches. I hope and it sounds like soon you'll be swinging towards normalcy.
Anyway.... the weather is soon upon us and you'll be well for it.
And you are all done. : )
Dunno if you also heard vertex had an RA drug in trials (I think )
I'll bet Bill is also VERY ready for a healthy wife.
Congrats to you both.

Well, the appointment was soooooo much easier than I anticipated. All my stitches are disolvers.
. Only a few needed to come out today. I've also been returned to a life of what is normal for me, including the go ahead to start injecting my Humira again.
I have no clue Vertex had an RA med in trials... that is awesome.
I got me a spiffy new purple Schwinn purple mountain bike with 21 speeds today. I did ride it down the driveway (it was dark out when Bill picked it up for me) and it's pretty obvious I haven't been on a bike since middle school LOL. I'm going to try and just ride it around the neighborhood this weekend to get used to it.
