Helen. I haven't forgotten, I just went to the food Co-op and well.... I forgot. I will get those dirty dozen soon.
Pam, I can't prove it but Lloyd Wright of
http://hepatitiscfree.com/
reports that he was at deaths door, cured himself with alternatives and diet and has been free of his hep for year and has at least several hundred more of his customers that can claim the same. It is possible that hep could come back, but these folks are "cured" enough to have sustained absence of hep. While I placed his link..... I have also done some of my reading on mushrooms and teas on his site. Just find the product and click on it for further reading.
Alley: I like the idea of popcorn with other spices. Like Helen I've not heard of the yeast but I'll check it out at the Co-op. Any idea why I'm humming an Iron Butterfly song?
.....that now won't go away?
Best,
Willy

Oh I don't know if engavita is a name brand or what, but it's also referred to as nutritional yeast.
I have a cat that was ferrel and was caught at the age of 2 weeks. He had lots of health issues because he never had a momma or momma's milk.
I put nutritional yeast on his food, he won't eat without it now. His health is great and he'll be 4 years old on july 4.
Omega 3 is the healthy or essential oils. you can use hemp oil or flax seed oil if you prefer. You get omegas in those too. (you can find them in refridgerated section of health food stores and you must keep the cold)
The chilli is just the one I like cause I love flavor!!

Alley, I have been eating popcorn much like you. I air pop it, put it in a paper bag, drizzle with the oil, seasonings and shake. I am going to check into the Iron Butterfly yeast
Thanks to Willy, I now have that song on the brain, too LOL
Willy, Thanks for the link. I haven't been there for awhile and will check it out again. The guy that owns our health food store says a woman that comes in there swears she "cured" herself of HCV. I asked him to see if she would be willing to chat with me the next time he sees her. I can't imagine that she wouldn't, I mean not that I'm so all that, but if I found something that worked as in "cure" I'd sure want to share it with the world. Anyway, I'm curious as to what supplements she used and perhaps still uses.
Helen, Thanks for your kind thoughts. And yes, my stress level is way down. Had to remind myself to let go of the things that are not mine to fix. It's in God's hands now. Now, let's go eat some POPCORN!!! Pam

Next trip to the store, Ill check out the Omega 3.
Pam, what spices do you use? Im just curious and want to try different healthy ways to have popcorn and maybe be able to help my salt cravings, I know if you like Hot stuff, that adding tobasco is really good, but I dont always want hot, sometimes just spicy.

Hi Helen!
I've tried different seasonings (salt-free) like mexican, italian, but I have to confess, I do add my own salt. That way I can control it cuz most of the salted spices are way too salty, even for me. I use so little salt every where else, that it is an indulgence I'll continue to enjoy since it is in moderation. I want to try out the flavored oils Alley talked about, they sound good, don't they?
Since this is your thread, I have to ask you, how have you been feeling since starting the alternatives? I can't remember what symptoms you had, if any, but has your QOL improved with your supplements and all? Any feed back would be appreciated. Pam

Hi Pam,
Wont know if it actually helped my numbers till I get to the Dr. in Sept.,and Ive really only started this regimen a little at a time starting on April 1st. started with the Milk Thistle and added stuff as I learned, but my main problems are aches and pains, I do get tired alot but neither has kept me from normal activities, the aches do once in a while but not very often, seems like I feel better energy wise since I started the VIt.B, I mean I still get tired but seems like I can get motivated easier, ( could be in my head I guess )
Ive added Selenium to my regimen since my last post, and am thinking of adding Zinc next, but have read that I might need to add copper with the zinc. It all gets kind of confusing and I wonder if maybe Im taking to much stuff, Im thinking about maybe taking the zinc every other day, one month on and one month off, but Im not sure yet, need more research, OR any suggestions anyone might have to offer, I believe I have been B deficient for years because of the Prilosec I take daily for acid reflux, found out when reading about vit. B that people on the acid blockers and medications of that kind usually need to suppliment with B. I would love to know WHY the Dr.'s dont tell us this stuff
I also have tinittus and have read the zinc may be helpful to that. You know over the past 10 years Ive had a lot of little things wrong ( a few biggies ) but could never really figure out what was wrong, I mrean sometimes I would just feel so crummy but the docs couldnt find anything wrong, have to think now all this stuff was probably from the Hep, Im sure I contracted it over 30 years ago. But you know after the initial shock, I am just SO glad to know whats wrong with me.
Im not a crazy person after all,
anyway, have to say I really have alot less symptoms than alot of others, because they are usually not on a daily basis, the aches are, but they're not bad daily, have my good days and bad days.
Well that about sums it up.
Take care and God Bless, Helen
