Attention All Members & Guests:

After talking with countless members and guests over the coarse of the past year, and with some life changing events that have occurred in my own life in recent months, I sat myself down, and re-examined one of the true goals that inspired many to join our group to begin with. To acquire access to an online 12 Step Program, offered for those of us inflicted with or effected by, HCV.

It was our hopes from the beginning to offer an online 12 Step program, that would allow us to apply the 12 Steps and Traditions, using our Administrator, Glen Caulkins, 12 Step Workbook; HCV Anonymous Positive Attitudes, as our guide to work the steps.

I'm very pleased to announce today, that I have been given the green light from Glen, and have been blessed in finding one of our fellow members who is willing and ready to commit to chairing our online 12 Step meetings. She will however, need help. And, we will need people who would be willing to sponsor others who may be in need of some "one on one" to help guide them through their healing process.

Before we go any further with this however, It would be great to hear some feedback from other members, to make sure that the interest is enough in that we would be able to keep these meetings productive, and ongoing.

I for one, have seen first hand, the remarkable change that occurrs in people who really work at, and apply the Twelve Steps and Traditions into their life. I know that I could greatly benefit from working this program, as applied to my hcv status,  and am looking forward to seeing our members and guests post their interests as well.

We would like to get this started a.s.a.p.
We welcome your comments and questions, and hope to see our fellows members and guests posting soon.

Thanks in advance for your input.

I'm interested in an online-meeting, and also in finding out about other members here in nyc-bklyn, NY.

New to site, but not to 12 step programs.   My main issue is tiredness and lack of energy.

Hi Laura,

I'd be interested in online meetings. I've enjoyed the book and online meetings would be very beneficial.

I'm new to 12-step groups so don't feel I'd have much expertise to be a sponsor or lead a meeting yet.

Hi FirebaseFive, and Debbie!

Thanks for posting your interest concerning the 12 Step Online Meetings for HCV.
I have had members reply by email as well, so it looks like we will be holding meetings soon. I would like to give members and guests that may happen to stumble upon this, just a little while longer to respond. But expect an announcement very soon on when our first meeting will take place. I will post time and dates here, and will also email info to those members that have contacted me by email.

I am looking forward to working the program with all of you.

Take Care!

Love you Lynn!

Wonderful!!!   Grin

We will be figuring a time shedual out soon. Need to give a bit more time for others to respond. May also need to post a consensus on what the best times would be, since there are so many, in different time zones. Your input would be greatly appreciated!

Take Care!

I would be thrilled to take part in 12 Step meetings for HCV.  I have been in AA for over 7 years and it has truly changed my life. I love the 12 Step program and would be willing to be a sponsor. I have helped several women work the steps and have seen many miracles.

Please let me know if you start on-line meetings.

Hi Kathy!

So good to hear from you. Thank you for your interest and your enthusiasm, concerning the online HCV 12 Step Meetings. We will be starting them very soon. It would be very helpful to me, if you could send me your email address, so that I will know how to contact you when requests start coming in for sponsorship. We definitely are in need of sponsors!

I applaud your willingness to help others work this program.  Thank You so very much for posting!

Thanks for the schedule, Mary Ann, I will try to make it, although my brain often causes me to miss or be late to schedules these days.

Laurie, you can count on me if there's any way I can help. If I miss a chat just tell me via e-mail what you want me to do. I'm open for anyone who needs a shoulder, a hankie, or an answer. This is a rough road to travel, and there's no reason any of us have to go it all alone.

If you (the person reading this) need to talk, write to me at home (atclockouts@vol.com) any time you want. I'll help in whatever way I can, and if I can't answer a question I'll see if I can find the answer for you, or refer you to another person here who may know what you're looking for in a sound answer.

Pray for the cure.

Thank you Joris!

Your generous, kind, and compassionate support, is so very valuable to all of us here! I think you would make a great sponsor to someone. However, you will have to attend to see if this would be something for you...
Hope to see you in the chat room for the informational meeting tomorrow night.

God Bless,

Well I am George, new here, and just left the chat/meeting. I enjoyed being around live people whom know exactly how I feel and know exactly what I am going thru. Even though there were some wise crackers in there, I knew they were just pokin, fun for a change. There were some serious ones trying to get things going, me included, and it did feel good to get out of "myself". It was gratifying to feel strong for a change, so for those feeling bad, you helped me. I am usually surrounded by "Normal" folks, and it can get lonely. Actually brings tears to my eyes. I am even getting used to crying, as I was told it helps clense the toxins from my body. I want to say that I read the "mission" statement for the first time tonight. The founders of this thing really seem to me to know what they are doing. Thank you Very Much.
                         Lost and found,

Inipi,

I think you were the one that came into the chatroom last night as I was trying to share a poem with saboma... I am a terrible typist,   Roll Eyes and didn't look up from my keyboard while typing, until you were on your way out the door... I'm sorry about that, truly...
We have been having meetings, but it has been sporadic due to low attendance. We started out with many people interested, but not many showed up for the actual meetings...
However, it only takes a few to have a meeting, and we would be very happy to have you join us. Meetings are on Tuesday and Thursday nights. In the foyer room, off the main chat room. Feel free to email me with any questions you may have... I can send you the pdf file of the HCV Anonymous Positive Attitudes Workbook, that we have been using for our meetings, if you have not already downloaded the file off the main site.

Look forward to seeing you in there on Tuesday!

P.S....  The chat room is empty at times, but if you go in around 5:00pm PST, (8:00 EST), there is usually someone that comes in there... Look forward to meeting you in the chat one of these evenings.   Smiley

Take Care!

Just found this site and this looks like a good place to get the support that  I need so desperatly right now. I'm a vietnam  vet who has been battling HCV for three years now and it would be a miracle to have a friend to give the support I need.  It's been a lonely battle with this dragon for the last two years. All I can say at the moment is, "Hi everyone!" And thanks for giving me this option.
