Keepin On, Keeping On!

« on: February 05, 2005, 01:20:07 PM »

Deep deep sickly feeling in the centre of my stomach, going on now for a few day's? Normal post tx., or is it possibly a bug? Huh I've pretty well spent the last three day's in bed and even rescheduled my pcr untill the 16th of this month. Or was thinking I was just nervous about the pcr and then today and as we speak, I've got the same feeling!  Tongue but still Grin

Any input would be appreciated!

Thoughts and Prayers

Stephen..... you heard Todd mention that he was almost missing his shots or Riba..... I think someone else mentioned that possibly the body may go thru a minor form of "withdrawal".  It could either be from the lack of having what TX provided...... or once off TX...... maybe the body swings the other way and you are getting too much of something .  The body may re-adjust.  Just keep in mind you have been doing some heavy chemicals and the body may have to find it's equalibrium.  I would guess to eat light, basic foods, small amounts, maybe things that are easy to digest, or aid digestion.  I hope that time will take care of it.

The body is an amazing machine...... just rest yours and give it the best of everything that you can and be patient.  If there are notable prolonged or serious symptoms..... contact the doc.  More than likely is is your body just re-adjusting.

The worst is over, I hope.

Hey Stephen, sorry to hear about the nausea. There are all kinds of bugs going around down here, it is that time of year.

I think Willy has a point about the bod needing a little time to adjust. I know my body is absolutely freakin' what with stopping the meds and going on 'roids all at the same time. It's been a problem, physically. Mentally as well. Never know what to expect. Everything seems so temporary. Took quite some time for us to get adjusted to the meds. Prolly take nearly as much time to adjust being off them.

So glad you're done though.

Sorry to hear you are having a hard time coming off of treatment. As for myself I had bad pains in my side and liver it kept me out of work for a week and a half and now when I get up to walk or just move my head I feel like I am floating. And I asked my Doc what the sides
were coming off of TX and  he said you will just feel better BS I have done enough drugs to know any time
you are doing a drug for 11 month the body has to readjust when we stop taking TX. But all in all I am feeling alot better now and looking forward to going back to work. I have been off of the shots for 3 weeks and two weeks for the pills. also I stoped taking my anti-D's around Dec 23, and Klonphin for anxiety I want to be drug free again.
We will keep you in our prayers hope that everything
will start getting better for you

Stephen,

I had a hard time after coming off tx. I had bad stomach cramps, headaches, and got dizzy a lot. I was so upset, I thought, that I would feel great right after tx. It does take some time, though.

I'm sure that the body has to adjust to being off the tx, just like it had to get used to the tx in the beginning. That just makes sense. I don't know why the doctors don't tell you that!

You'll feel better soon, more energy, too, etc.  Wink

I had a lot of stomach pains after stopping treatment.  Maybe coincidence, but I doubt it.  And abdominal pain as well.  It's a big change for the body, stopping treatment.  Keep drinking your fluids, and rest.  It's really important to take care of yourself.  After such a long time on the treatment, it's difficult to get your equilibrium back and have your body return to normal.
Hang in there and take care of yourself.
