Prayers & God's Blessings

« on: August 10, 2005, 02:31:53 PM »

Hey All!  Grin

I had a great team and a very skilled doctor in Radiology today.  They gave me an IV for meds to relax me but they never kicked in until the procedure was over!  Roll Eyes  I did get a local and I didn't feel anything that
provoked or hurt me.  After the local wore off I had bareable quick sharp pains and dull pressure pain.  All
day I have treated myself to Ativan and Tylenol w/codeine so I can get some well needed rest.  I found out that the pain that occurs up the right side to the shoulder is a long nerve and sometimes the doctor has to manipulate it to get to the part of the liver he or she is going to take the sample from.  He took 2 samples from me and I don't have any pain in my right shoulder at all.

My results will be in the Gastro doctor's office Monday AM
so I will be making an appt. around that.  I guess they start medication tx right away.  I was told the meds are a form of chemo which I already kind of knew from the
postings in here.  I come from a long line of Cancer so
that word was not exactly what I needed to hear but for
right now I am going to approach tx...One Day At A Time.

I have a lot of "Thanks" to send out to all of you that gave me support, to my husband and to my local friends that have been checking in on me through the day.

I would also like to send my prayers & blessings to those that are about to undergo a liver biopsy...I didn't shed one drop of sweat and I am very much the "Worrier."

I know the Good Lord walked into those hospital doors with me and I was surely blessed.  Smiley

I Love You All................... Kiss

Thanks You Guys!  Cool

Yeah I had a great team and as I think I said...the doctor took 2 samples.

I have been having some heavy duty pain & uncomfortableness but they want me to go to "ER" before they give me anything strong enough for the pain.  The one doctor told me I shouldn't still be hurting and they want to see if I have a blod clot or God knows what else.  I'm going to keep an eye on myself over this weekend, first.  Huh  See!  I told Willy how low percentages seem to always knock at my door.  Wink

My Gastro doctor will have the results Monday morning but I guess unless something weird pops up I'm not scheduled to see him until Sept. 8th.  At least that will give me a breather!

Love You All......... Cool

Hey Pancha_Villa.. Smiley

Thank you for asking.  I am taking some stronger pain meds.  They take the edge off but I'm still moving slow.  I'm alright though...I got out to take short walks with my dog today.  She's a puller so we're trying to train her.
All my cats got love from me so my home is peaceful right now.

What I have learned is that I am not going to be in control of any of this.  I of course will be doing all I can to be proactive but the duration and results will not be on my shoulders.  This one goes into God's Hands and I'm glad I figured it out before I do start tx!  :-/

I think Psalm 23 is going to be a daily staple.... Wink

Hi Joyce,
I was told that if you dont take it easy for a few days after the biopsy, your liver could bleed out and cause pain, and with walking your dog, if hes a puller that may have caused a bleed, take a few days to relax, you shouldnt be doing anything strenuous at all.

Thanks For Your Concern Helen... Smiley

I had my biopsy on Wed. and didn't walk my girl until today (Sun) and then only to the end of the street.
Hubby will have to take it from here for the rest of today.

I am tired today but the pain is no longer excrutiating.  I may call my Gastro doctor tomorrow though.  I don't want to mess up if I do need to be seen but there was NO WAY I was going to go sit in "ER!"

Thanks For Caring............ Cool

Hi Panch_Villa & All,

Didn't nean to worry anyone...another doctor has me journaling my sleeping patterns and I wasn't allowing myself much computer time. I guess I better change
that!

I don't go for my appt. with the Gastro doctor until Sept. 8th... :-/  Patients should be able to put a "stat" on appts. in reply to the doctor's "stat" on procedures. Tongue

Instead of waiting in anticipation on the biopsy results I am using the next few weeks to get back on my dietary ritual.  I would like to know that I will be starting tx with
the healthiest immune system I can conjure up. Low-impact aerobics and Yoga will be the non-dietary portion
of my preparation. It all may or may not be beneficial for
me but it's my way of staying pro-active at this point & time.  Roll Eyes

Once I know what my tx will be I will be posting a new topic for help with foods, vitamins & herbs and any form of exercise that I will be able to do.

Have A Nice Weekend........
