what to do.

I started peg-intron/ with rebetol last september,it was rough at first about 3 months then got somewhat better. the worst was the depresion,and lack of energy. after 5 months i was checked and came back no detectable traces. i asked my doctor could i get it back after i finish my treatment, he said it was like flipping a coin. last month i started having bad mental problems and making life tough for my family and co-workers. this past weekend i had a bad time.and its uncontrolable.i asked my doc. about stoping the treatment. he said i should try to finish it. i asked him whats the diference if i flip the coin now or 3 months,and i really got no good answer. can anyone give some input? Hey Mark,

 One of the side affects of the treatment is depression and we've all gone thru it to one degree or another. I think you need to call your doc and ask  him to prescribe some anti-depression meds. It's important you finish your treament and the meds might help!

Hi Mark,
I agree with Sam........talk to the doc and get some help. You've come this far not to quit.
It is somewhat like flipping a coin, but the chances of beating the dragon with tx is far greater...obviously. Not everyone will have positive outcomes, but if you stop you'll never know if it would have worked to the full extent, and I would bet that having that second guess weighing on your mind would be 10 times worse.

Everyone takes a chance and a risk while doing tx.....thats just part of the whole process and no one can predict each individuals outcome or respose......thats a chance you have to take to try and win this battle......but know that you can do this.....everyone needs some sort of help at some point and thats fine and very normal.

If you want this dragon out of your body, then you have to fight like hell to get rid of it.....the reward is far greater than not attempting at all......or stopping too soon to receive the full effect.

HI MARK, I STARTED TREATMENT LAST SEPTEMBER ALSO. AFTER 6 MON. I TOOK A BREAK AND THE VIRAL LOAD CAME BACK. MY DOC PUT ME ON PEGASUS ,IT IS A LITTLE BETTER WITH SIDEAFFECTS HOWEVER YOU NEED TO ASK YOUR DOC FOR A MOODSTABALIZER IT EFFECTS YOUR MENTAL STATE THE TREATMENT OF PEGINTRON OR COMBO OF PEGASUS .GOD BLESS YOU AND I HOPE YOU HANG IN THERE ,IT WILL GET BETTER, ANGELIKA
