That deadly drug that go in your veins

Make a girl sell her body for a five-dollar bag

Some think my adventure's a joy and a thrill

In cellophane bags I've found my way

I'm financed in China, ran in Japan
I'm respected in Turkey and I'm legal in Siam

I take my addicts and make 'em steal, borrow, beg
Then they search for a vein in their arm or their leg

Yep, James Brown says it like it is.  It was years ago I shot up.  I'm sure many of the people I ran with are dead.  It's a very good song too.

i wanted to post a link or cut and paste a poem that Glen (who founded this board) wrote or posted in an old thread.  He is an old user himself and he wrote something very close.  It is now gone unfortunately, cause the board does not keep everything.  I think posts just dissipear after 2 years; I'd have to look it up.  If I can ever find it...... I'll post it here.

Maura........ Thanks; what a nice surprise!  I knew I should have just revisited his posts.  I'm glad you found it.  Seems like the poems about "H" have a common theme.  While typing this I've been playing Neal Young's "The Needle and the Damage Done" in my head; also a great song.

Got to wake up my 16 year old.....
