My and my husband's combined income  are just enough  for our daily consumptions:enough to send our kid to College, enough to buy affordable Medicine for my husband who is a Diabetic ...JUST ENOUGH TO LIVE A SIMPLE semi-comfortable LIFE. ,
WHAT MY HUSBAND & I CANT AFFORD IS THE MEDICINE THAT CAN PROLONGE OUR LIVES. INTRON -A. WE ARE BOTH INFECTED. The Doctor inform us that Intron A will costs P20,000 a week,(aside from the Doctors fee/out patient Hospital fee)  we have No WAY to GET TREATED.
I have 2 sisters in US, one in Canada, All of them have a stable white collar job, but none of them is willing to help us, IT BREAKS MY HEART. Iam living here in the PHILIPPINES, the country with the worst CORRUPT GOVERNMENT unLIKE USA AND CANADA. CANADIAN GOVERNMENT PROVIDES FREE HOSPITALIZATION AND DISCOUNTED MEDICINES, (IF NOT FREE.)
MY HUSBAND AND I WANT TO LIVE LONGER, BUT WITHOUT ANY MEDICATIONS, HOW WILL WE? I ENVY THOSE WHO ARE IN USA & CANADA. I HOPE, A HUMANITARIAN  WILL COME ALONG, to help us.

Also wanted to mention that just because you dont treat it dosent mean your gonna die, do you know what stage your in? Have you had a biopsy? hepc is in most cases a very slow moving disease, there are many of us who choose not to treat, I am in the not  treating catagory at this time, Ive been infected for over 30 years, theres alot of good info at this site, so do some reading and learn as much as you can, dont panic, you and your husband may not have to get treated at this time, and if you do, as Willy posted you do have some options with the pharmaceutical companies. Keep us posted.

   Alot of young and old folks here, cannot get the necessary, funds needed to buy their diabetic medicine, let alone the intron or inferon or other very very expensive medicine they need on on a daily basis.It is hard for me and i get ssi-dis and alot of the times, i go hungry just so i could afford my co-pay, and personal items, i need for my daily rituals,.There are ways like Willy offered and ,and we need to know your geno type and others information, so we can better support you ,at this time.It must be hard ,living in the phillipines,and seeking better ,and educated specialist,.maybe your children could help, you did say you were paying their college,And being diagnosed, you will find in time is not a death sentence,Were you just diagnosed?I felt that way for almost a year and a half, until i finally accepted it , and said to myself, it aint gonna rule my life or take it away,.And i did alot research and soul searching,and i found out their are tx out there and even more promising ones on the way .
give us some more infor' and maybe there is someone in your area that knows of programs or opportunities for you and your husband,.So hang in there and keep posting ,we all try to help in moral support, we have really caring moderaters too. Nice to meet you,take care.
