It has come to our attention that search engines such as Google are getting peoples personal info off the board.

Changes.

I am going to make the singles area members only. That way search bots cant get in there. Most personal info is in there.

Advice.

If you don't want to see your e mail address on a seacrh page hide it in your profile. If you can't figure out how to do this PM Willie50 or I and we will do it for you.

Guests. We like to allow guests to post here. When it asks for your name put in an alias,we don't care what you use just try to be unique.  DO NOT USE YOUR REAL NAME UNLESSS YOU WANT IT TO BE ON A SEARCH PAGE.

That is all. Carry on. Grin

I thought you had all the answers Joris.  Grin

BTT = Back to the top. Just a way to put the post back to the top of the page by posting useless acronyms.

A common misconception, what with all the writing I do here. No, I'm as stuck in the mysteries as the rest of you, I just blab a lot as if I were informed. It's all rather cloudy to me, actually. I pick up bits here and there and share what I've absorbed, but am I accurate? That's something for you folks to catch me on. I hope I am, of course, but I'm as human as anyone, and I use the human license thing a lot. If I err, hey, I'm only human!

Nope, I'm not the answer guy. I run mainly on intuition. I think we all know bits and parts of the whole. It's the coming together that makes it all nicely fit... my pieces and yours, and hers and his... all coming together in a nice weave. That's what makes it so much fun. We're making a tapesty of brotherly support.

OK...if you are dumb enough, and I am, to use your real name...how do I change it? Searching for any sign of brain activity in my head...none detected...can I borrow someone's brain to change my user ID? Keep your spirits high...robin

Robin.  Either find one of your posts and click on your name.  You will be transported to your profile.  You could also click on your name at the bottom of the forum or there is also a profile button at the top of the forum when you are logged in.  You can change your "user name" on the profile page.  You can also change your password there too.

If you can't get it done write me or Helen and we will change it for you.

I'm not sure we would want that.  It would mean that many people would possibly never find this site.  If one did that with all the search engines on the net how would you ever find information on certain topics?  It seems as if it would vastly chill the flow of information.  Maybe I'm not understanding you correctly, though.

I've understood this threat for decades.

Back in the Nixon administration I had my skull peeled back (they called it "elective" surgery) and had aluminum foil inserted to block the evil thought rays of the CIA & L. Ron Hubbard.

Every pooter I've had since '85 has also had the interior aluminum foil shielding installed.

I also spray the cable modem & pooter with D-Con (mixed with a heavy anti-biotic) every month.

So far, so good. No spiders, no virus.

PS: You must use Reynolds Wrap foil. Believe me, the CIA and Scientologists would love for you to use generic brands.....

I've said too much~
