Thank you for your post. Sure makes me feel more positive! I started tx 3 weeks ago because I read the success rate was more than 50% for type 1. This is even better! I say within a few years they will have this thing beat.

Yup......80% that's is what I heard a while ago too.......sounds very very promising...better than 42%

 I heard and read that the 80 % is for genotypes 2 and 3.
But who knows, these drugs are still pretty young and the jury is still out.

I also been told by several dr's. the 80% is for 2,3.  Supposedlty 1a is the toughest to beat!
