Got my Abdominal CAT Scan results....everything is normal!  This is good.  The only bad part is, I still have the pain.  The nurse wants me on 800mg Ibuprofen 3x day and a heating pad as often as possible.  Can you see me at my desk holding a pad on my rib cage?!?!  ha ha!!  Anyway, as usual, I will do the best I can.....

Mike, stick with it and stay positive!  You are always in my prayers and in my thoughts!

ps....has anyone ever "lost" one of their Ribavirin pills??  I did....can't imagine where it went.  It fell to the floor and literally disappeared.....

That's Great news Penny.  I was pretty nervous waiting for my MRI  results.  They found some cysts but nothing else.  How far along are you on the tx?  For some reason I'm thinking you're on shot 6 or 7 but I could be wrong.

Hey Penney
I have not lost that pill but I lost a birth control one a short while back.  Shocked Dropped and never found! :-/ Thank god it was not an "Important one". I vaccummed and vaccummed to be sure I got it  Roll Eyes I would think you can find yours though, it is not so tiny. Be careful of pets or kids

Penney,

Great news on the scan. But I bet you are more baffled now huh? That heating pad sounds like a great idea! All you need with it is a blanket and pillow!

Hopefully your side get better and be a distant memory.  Tongue Try and take it easy.

Hey do you have blood work tomorrow too? If so good luck and let me know how goes!

hey there Jackie,
Would LOVE a pillow and blanket on ANY day, not just heating pad day !  ha ha
I don't have any blood work now until my 12 week check.  How about you?  Why are they taking blood again from you?

And when are you getting checked again Mike, after these results?

Hi All,

I have blood work scheduled again at the end of this month.  But the big 12 week test isn't until mid-September.  I do my fifth shot on Wednesday.  The last two have been pretty easy except for the fatique.  I did the first three in my leg and the last one in my stomach.  Not having any skin reactions or discoloration.  Maybe I got ripped off and I'm shooting water LOL.

Jackie, what number are you on?  Penny, were running neck and neck, your a week ahead of me. How about everybody else?  Everybody, chime in with your tx week and time left.

God Bless,
Mike

Hi Mike, today is week 6 for me. I have about 200 yrs. or so left.  Cry
I also went for bloodwork today. I guess he's monitoring my reds and whites. On 8/1 I go for a PCR. I don't know how he's planning to gauge this since my treatment has been a little 'unconventional'.
First 3 weeks with just the shot, then riba 200mg. for lweek, 400 the second week and now 600 for the third week. He claims that 600 for my weight is enough for now (l23 lbs.)
But if I feel ok I'm going to increase it. We'll see. :-/

That's cool that we're all on the 5-6 week.  Marina, I weigh about twice as much as you and I'm on 1200mg Rib. daily so 600mg is probably the perfect amount for you.  This is going to be interesting when the results start coming in.

Hi all,

I was in America's group of Friday's shots, its number 8 for me.  This wait for the 12th week is unnerving. My gastro called last week and said my liver functions were slightly elevated, indicative of continuing inflamation.  I am not sure what that means (actually I do) but am waiting to see the what the viral counts are at the 12th week.  As long as they go down you go on.  Still have fatique (like I have been up for days), lack of appetite (make have lost 20-25 lbs, I could use it) and dizziness.  Other than that things are going well with side effects, much better than what I thought during the pretreatment phase.  I am able to manage business.

My best to everyone,

David
