Just received this book "Viral Immunity - A 10 Step Plan to Enhance Your Immunity Against Viral Disease Using Natural Medicines" by J.E. Williams.O.M.D. It's quite a tome, 465 pages.  Very interesting reading - not specifically for HCV, but gives some great advice on managing all viruses including HCV.  Part one deals with what viruses are and how the immune system handles them (or not).  Part two gets into the ten steps to manage your immunity - how to deal with out of control viruses and how to manage inflammation etc.  Nearly all the alternatives that I've heard of are discussed.  Transfer Factor, Eurocel, MGN 3, Mushrooms, Thymus extract etc. etc.  Gives advice on how much to take and when and the contraindications.  It's also very easy to read.  Anyway - it's impressed this bibliophile!
