Sensitive Eyes

Today I was outside and noticed after a few minutes my eyes hurt. Then I felt sick on my stomach. I came inside and felt better after a bit. Must be the retina thing? I need to get new sunglasses tomorrow. I broke mine last weekend. I wear glasses and it is so hard to find a pair to fit over them that don't make me look like a "Star Wars" reject. I will call Monday just for an eye appointment to get them checked. No sense getting glasses cause they will change back I understand.
Hope everyone is having a great night.

Hi Jackie.
The nurse at my doctors office suggested I don't get an eye exam for a prescription change. I mean you should go get your eyes checked because they hurt, but the eye dr. should know you are on this med just incase he suddenly decides your prescription changed
Take care!!!

Hi Jackie,
I think you must already know this but here it is just in case. There can be a problem from the tx with our eyes. I was sent to an eye doctor before I was approved for the tx and then at 6 months again the eyes had to be looked at by an eye doctor. I was also told by the literature and the Nurses that I should wear sunscreen and sun glasses while on the tx.
If you are taking the Peg-intron then you should have been given the phone number to the Be-In-Charge program where you can call and speak with a knowledgeable nurse. Here is the # just in case you need it 1-888-437-2608 and I see that they have a web site @
www.beincharge.com
They are usually very friendly and helpful. They are the ones that let me know that the tx could get into any pre-existing conditions and exasserbate them. Hope you feel better, WEAR SUN GLASSES, it won't matter how you look if you can't see yourself.

Thanks Geo!
I do feel good today. I found sunglasses. I will carry in a HARD case in my bag. I was caring the others in a flimsy one and broke them right on the nose peice! Thanks for the be in charge info. I registered online with them but never thought to ask them questions. I have been pestering my Doc office to no end! You have a good point though in getting them first. If I go through them or Pegasys, and they "suggest" something my dr may be more .....apt to comply.
Thanks again and hope you feel better and have a great week!
