An excellent book. Very technical, but interesting.   You can learn a lot about herbs,  the virus, the immune system,  and Chinese medicine philosophy.    Dr. Zhang  has  impeccable  credentials in Chinese and  Western medicine,  and is well know for his pioneering research with AIDS,  HCV and related conditions.  Contains explanations of his products,   clinical pharmacology. and hospital studies.   Also  case studies complete with facts and numbers.   Zhang is considered by many to be the foremost authority on treating Hep C with Chinese herbal medicine.   I recommend it, even if you're not doing Zhang's protocol.

Straighten_Up, you've obviously done your homework on Zhang. I read something about him, briefly. Thanks for the recommendation, and thank you Dan for the info. I'll try to find the book and give it a read.

I will add ,  this is the protocol I used when I first started to study alternatives.  Within two months, my LFT's  came down from  quite high numbers where they had been for years,  and my juandice dissapeared.  I stayed on this protocol for 18 months, until the money ran out.        

Dr Zhang is a trained clinician,  and respects clinical outcomes.  His formulations are exact, and  of the highest quality. His focus is on the restoration and enhancement of the immune system.   Combined with a health diet,   this is certainly an option if you can afford it,  in my opinion.
