is MGN3 a natural interferon??

Hi people,
I am trying a very expensive suppliment called MGN3, all the info is from the makers so how do I find out more??  I ask my clever friends here!!   The liturature says it is a natural form of interferon and creates natural killer cells. I definately feel and look better since I introduced it to my daily pile of pills so........ is anyone else experienced with this stuff???  Thanks in advance my research pals.

I'm a chicken about medical medications and am always on the look out for alternatives.  I do muscle testing before I take anything and have I felt really good from this stuff. I started the day my dr. screwed up and destroyed my one moment of optimism/bravery about trying pegasays.  Now I'm trying MSM as well and my kids are on MSN   haahaa.

MGN3 , an immuno stimulant, is composed of the hemicellose-B extract from the outershell of rice bran, enzymatically modifed through a patented process with polysaccharides from medicinal mushrooms (Hyphomycetes Mycelia). It increases the number of natural Killer cells as well as increases N and T cell function.

Research on MGN-3 shows it may also be effective in the very early stages of cancer formation, before tumors develop blood vessels, and in the treatment of non-vascular cancers like Leukemia, Lymphoma, Hodgkin's and Multiple Myeloma.

Oral supplementation with MGN-3 has been shown to increase the body's production of natural cytokynes including interleukin-2, interferon and tumor necrosis factors. These cytokynes can directly inhibit replication of viruses and have anti-cancer effects. Cytokynes also tell the immune system cells to "turn on" which boosts B cell and T cell proliferation and activity, and causes an increase in granule formation within Natural Killer (NK) cells.

A study with 24 patients showed that MGN-3 effected NK cell activity over time, in a dose-dependent manner. Results using 3 grams per day of MGN-3 orally showed NK activity increased by 8 times within one week and that by 2 months, NK cells were killing 27 times (2,700%) more cancer cells than without MGN-3 supplementation. No side effects were reported, and after stopping MGN-3, NK cell activity returned to baseline within one month. (Int J Immunotherapy 98;XIV (2):89-99)

Dosing is seperated into A loading dose of 45 mg of MGN-3 per kilo of patient body weight daily to get thisngs really going, a maintenance dose take 15 mg of MGN-3 per kilo of patient body weight to keep it working

Studies are still limited but there seems to be no side effects or interaction with other drugs. If anything other drugs can limit the effectiveness of the MGN3.

Maitake, reishi and other mushrooms have a similer effect but the MGN is about 600% more effective at increasing the number of NK cells.

Most research has been done with HIV,  various cancers and Cervical Dysplasia, all with good results.
