Microsoft Internet Explorer Error ?
«
on:

Oh Evil One... (Or, anyone else that can answer..)
Everytime I come in here, I'm allowed apprx. 3 minutes, and then I get an Internet Explorer message stating that it has encountered a problem and must shut down. Then closes Internet Explorer, giving me the typical option to report.. Did that, repeatedly, but it's offered me no solutions...
Hmmmmmm........
I'm not having any problems accessing other sites.
Got any ideas as to why this keeps happening?
Reply appreciated ~
Thanks

I'm not sure why this site would be doing that !! There really is no flash banners other then the tickermefeed (NEWS BOX) !! I am on alot of forums and only had that problem on one site and it was a java issue and once hit was updated I never had that problem !! Perhaps you could tell us what O.S. you have !! Do you have another browser like firefox or netscape that you can test with ? Hope someone else can help you

Yes it is likely the java in the news box.
Might try installing newer browser version OR SUN java runtime or perhaps you can turn off seeing the news ticker. Will look in to he last one and see if it can be done on an individual basis.

Oh evil mod, I am happy to find you lurking.
On some threads, but not all I get a pop-up asking me if I want to sign-up for MSN messenger. I have medium high privacy and just put on my pop-up blocker, but was curious why it just happen on some threads.

I've been running in to that same annoying thing, Jazz. I figured it must be some new feature, but I never like using any messenger things so I click to close it each time it pops up. It's nothing more than an annoyance. If I wanted to I.M. someone I could do it from their post, and wouldn't need the pop up to remind me.
Who thought that thing would be a help? Or did it find its own way here somehow? Like the fly that keeps showing up when you're trying to do something, or the mosquito that you hear now and then when you're trying to fall asleep. Pesty.

Likewise; it makes me want to firebomb something.
Virtually speaking, of course.
You'd think that it could remember that you didn't want to join super sucky MSN from the last time you told it so 15 seconds earlier.
If it acts like an annoying pop-up ad it is. (boo hiss)

I may have corrected part of the problem. It may have stemmed from changing an e-mail addy. Apparently, somehow your account had to be re-activated, which I just did.
I hope this solves it, but let me/ us know.
Best,

The MSN thing is related to having WINXP and MSN messenger installed. I get the same crap at work but not at home where i do not have MSN messenger installed. not sure why it wants to do that.
I will look into it.

Geez Bro Jo, with my ALT & AST levels going sky high, you're gonna pressure me into waxing eloquent 'bout Quicksilver?
One of my fave SF bands (the other being the much maligned
Blue Cheer
).
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Quicksilver_Messenger_Service
John Cipollina was a great guitar slinger. He even taught Jerry Garcia a trick or two~ Recommended listening would be Quicksilver's first album (how prescient is "Pride of Man?") & the follow-up, "Happy Trails."
Leigh Stephens, John Cipollina & Clapton played SG's. Had a Vox, bought a pawn shop SG~
