Smiley It. been a while since I have posted much...
The weather here in Okla took a drastic turn last week 70'S daytime AM---
5-15 inches of snow the next day.
The fatigue and "worn out feeling" really has not gone away!

Mentally, i am feeling somewhat better: that is I feel like (I think), that I can do more ... Cool
but the reality is n fact , that I got to a point of calling for help after  shoveling snow for 10 minutes!!

I am so beat, worn out , DEPLETED of any known resource for energy  besides personal
drive and consequently sanity , that provide  some sort of determination  to complete or even
begin a task.

Doing laundry about kills me! Embarrassed,  taking a shower the same

and the big one  Huh--------PUTTING ON SHOES THAT HAVE  laces  (boots  in this  case).

 QUESTION ---IS THIS  STILL NORMAL?

(AT WEEK 14- I HAD A V/L TEST , CBC, AND  CHEM 14,
ALL WAS GOOD
Roll Eyes Roll Eyes Roll Eyes Roll Eyes MY COPIES  COUNT WAS  242? Huh Huh Huh

hey Lefty;
congratulations on good test results and making it this far.
it is ABSOLUTELY normal to be feeling the way you described
i found that as time went on, i felt more run down as the medicine accumulates in your system
i take darvon to get me through the day, it gets rid of my aches and pains and allows
me to work and take care of a young child.  without it, everything would be a chore, even
the most mundane tasks seem like it requires a lot of effort.  hang in there.    Roll Eyes

Lefty...the good report on your labs was nice to receive since you are having a hard time physically and with fatigue...it always makes it better to know you are responding. Is there any way you can arrange to have like a 30-60 minute rest break during the day? Like you...I found the fatigue frustrating and it was beneficial to be able to take a break. Is there a way you can get someone to come in like every other week and help around the house and yard? You may need to give up some of your daily chores and let things go. Other people won't notice...most things I found I saw as needing to be done...other's didn't think it was as bad as I did. Wishing you good rest both physically and mentally. Lefty
Yes, your fatigue sounds perfectly normal.  I had it for most of 48 weeks.  I know it feels like a heck of a long time at week 18 -- but you are over 1/3 of the way through. My doc even tried ritalin to give me a little boost.  I think it helped for a while.  I had so much joint pain though that my pain meds pretty much knocked me down.
Ask for help -- don't shovel snow if you can't make it.  I little exercise is good, they told me, in my case, a half a flight of stairs did me in.  Rest when you need to --watch tv, sleep.  Winter is a great time to just veg out.
Do you have any family or friends that can help you?  I know the old beatles tune was true, "I get by with a little help from my friends".
Hanv in there.

Lefty...don't answer if you aren't comfortable but where in OK are you located. I'm listed in Oklahoma City at Baptist Integris. That is a great hospital but I'm now seeing a hepatologist in my own state of Arkansas. I'm really glad the sides are getting a bit easier to deal with. Keep your spirits high...robin

Sorry for the reality check, but...
The Peg-Intron product information sheet pharmacokinetics section states that the "mean trough concentrations" increase 3-fold at week 49 compared with week 4.

Lefty,

Call your doc if you're side seem to be  worse.  I'm in week 30 and the past 3 weeks have been rough.  I  found out this morning that I do indeed have the flu.
