Now, after approx 3 weeks of not taking mega c, I have to old aches and pains again; this is the second time I've done this. Now, I'm convinced, the "problems" with c definately are worth the effort. I may have gotten a not so good b test, but I looked and felt good. I was taking ascorbic acid orally, 1-3 grams per hour, and often IVs- although I overdid them.
I think one a week is probably enough, with oral all week.

Alquitit - I seem to remember that when I got some IV C shots, the doc gave me magnesium and calcium in a drink afterwards - he said that the IV shots could deplete your system of other minerals.  I'll try to find out more about this - didn't take much notice at the time.

Alquitit,
I have read that the aches and pains are due to the stickiness of the blood cells.  If you want to take a break from Vit C, you could try the lemon juice and olive oil drink many people with HIV use.  It worked for me, although I don't use a whole lemon just the juice.   I also take Glucosamine and Chondroitin Sulfates for any aches at different times.  Right now my aches especially my elbows and hands are gone.

Thanks Guys, I started increasing the dose today, and now I feel fine after about 10-15 igrams  in 2 doses, and a long nap. It was startling how fast the pains were coming on; I felt like I was getting the flu.  Thank sfor the reminder about the lemon/ oo drink.
