Roger:  We changed a few parameters on the board.  You are not imagining things.  We set a cut off (and I'll have to check what it is) to protect the privacy of our members from spammers.  A spammer might become a member just so they could "harvest" e-mail addresses from the board.  We now have set a permission based on the number of posts.  I'll have to check on what it is and will PM you.

Sorry for the inconvenience.  The intention is to protect our membership and board from these cretin spammers.

best,
Willy

I checked on this last night.  A person has to have 25 posts to gain access.  That is the point that a "newbie" beocomes a "Junior" member and is granted the permission to see others profiles.  Another possible situation is that the default for e-mails or other info could be set for "invisible" unless a member decides to make them visible.  You still can PM any member and they can decide whether to share for instance an e-mail addy.- Willy (the next morning)

Willy...is there a way to post photographs? I know there has to be since I've seen some used as their avatar. Would you direct me to the thread that tells how to add photos to a post? Thanks and keep your spirits high...robin

Robin, yes there is a way,  try this thread.  It may be "stickied" towards the top of this "General" Use forum.

I hate to admit it...... but I've never posted a photo.  I need to wade thru the process myself.  Helen is a pro.   Wink

I hope this helps and keep in touch if you need a hand.

Best,
Willy
