Hi this is momxfive. I live on Cape Cod in MA for those who don't me. The Cape Cod Voice newspaper just came out with a multi page article and cover story re: Hep C, facts, personal stories and facts about a newly updated treatment facility. We're sort of out of the loop on this sand spit so it this may take a lot of the isolation many people feel around here. My personal hope is that people will feel freer about coming out of the closet for themselves, their families and friends, for their bosses. i gave away my copy but plan to pick up another tomorrow so I'm afraid I can't provide an address, but I know that they have a web page.

http://www.capecodvoice.com/

I looked through about the first 13 pages but didn't see anything about HCV.  I DID see it was the Valentines addition and about every page was about LOVE, relationships, and yes.......even animal love.   Grin (No I'm not making this up; ewe gotta believe me).  I was going to copy and paste the (the HCV one  Wink) article but at least it's here if someone can find it.  I didn't see it in the directory either but maybe it's the new addition that may be out tomorro on line.

Best,
Willy (who also likes knowing about the tides.    Smiley)

Since the issue just came out it might not have made it to the sight. I'll try remember to check further. And yeah, about the ewes, the Cape is cosmopolitan only in that we are near big cities, especially Boston and during tourist season you can't spit without hitting a New Yorker, but there are all kinds of farms here including llama, vineyards and sheep from which many travel for the various wools. We know a lot of people who never left the Cape except for a brief time or vacation.

Cape Cod sounds lucious!  Do they have any B&B's that aren't over the top (although I'm not looking for cheap, either)?   Hubby has two weeks for vacation and our 34th wedding anniversary is in Sept.  Maybe I can get in a few days of luciousness. Smiley   That would be soooooooooo nice.

Dreams Can Come True..... Cool

I should write their City of Commerce.

Glad you found it Willy. It's not earth shattering but on the local scene its a huge deal. Saw a friend at the store yesturday who completed treatment 4 yrs. ago but always kept it a secret. She was so happy that others don't have to go it alone as she felt she did back then and she's a reporter who was afraid for her job.
Joyce - September is what we call our shoulder season so rates are usually a little lower. I don't know your likes/dislikes but each town has its own flavor - art towns, antigue towns, theater and caberet towns, old fashioned, spas, of course beaches, so let me know if you like and maybe I can forward some info and rates. It would be nice to meet you if you like as well, but again at your discretion - its your anniversary after all.

(((Mom)))

Well, I brought Cape Cod up to my hubby and he didn't say "No."  I bought him a large print Mapquest and he opened it to one of the cross country maps and said, "Point me back to CA."  I guess we both miss home.  Even though we live in New York (Niagara Falls) again he has never been into New England.  Please don't spit on us! Tongue...lol

Kentucky and I are going to be seeing each other sometime soon I hope.  She may have to visit around the work on her house or she may want to finish up what she can, first.  We have to talk.  I missed her call to me so I'll be giving her a ring as soon as my face & mouth aren't swollen.  Looks like I will be looking for a Dentist this week.

Jan lives in New Hampshire and I believe Kentucky wants to visit with her also...maybe both of us.

I have 2 girlfriends coming into town through the Early Summer:  1 from CA & 1 from MN.

Geez!  Looks like I better get to cleaning my house! Shocked

Thanks & I'll Keep You Posted..... Cool
