Scoot, I used to compose on an e-mail form and then cut and paste.....

I just upgraded my firefox and it has spell check and so I can do it all right here.  Sometimes it is nice to use word or an e-mail form though in case the program crashes and you lose your post.  That still makes me cry real tears.....  Cry

But.....yes!!!!   We have no spell check.

Hi Alana,

Welcome to hcvanon. Most of us have signed in already. Come to think of it, I haven't seen many or maybe any new members sign in lately. Lefty and I still live in Utah. . . . since there's two of us now, maybe we should register another member.  Wink

Hi DougV

I kNow! I know!

The red star replicates the Lone Star of the state of Texas' flag. The flag is based on one that was first flown in 1846 by a group of American settlers who were unhappy with Mexican rule in California. They proclaimed an independent republic and raised a flag which included a grizzly bear, a lone star, a red bar and the words California Republic. The occasion became known as the Bear Flag Revolt.

http://www.worldflags101.com/united-states/california.aspx

State of Jefferson refers to Southern Oregon and Northern California's attempt to form a  new state to be removed from the population bases of LA and Portland in order to improve unbiased, imbalanced voting. Then WWII broke out and the movement stopped.
We sport a State of Jefferson license plate.  Wink
