Now there's something that makes absolutely zero sense to me. Why remove the buzz?! That's the main cure for stress. It's a happy buzz, it won't intoxicate you to the point something like alcohol would, in that you continue to maintain a safe level of awareness and it actually makes me drive much more conservatively. I think whoever is behind the in-lab buzz reduction of Marinol is over-thinking it. Cannabis, in it's most basic form, fresh off the plant, is a miracle cure. To me, and many other folks. I believe in it completely, so I allow myself to regulate my health by incorporating it in my daily routine. But a big part of why I do it is the buzz. It's a buzz that won't rob me of the ability to function.
It works to lower stress, it makes it so I can actually laugh again, it mellows me out. It let's me sleep like a baby, curing my insomnia. It increases my appetite, which I sometimes need to do. It makes my numerous body pains more endurable. Doesn't remove them, just makes them seem almost manageable. It restores my peace when I feel great tension. And the entire process, from seed to smoke, is not only scientifically intriguing, but thoroughly enjoyable from start to finish. It has the greatest potential to be entirely rewarding. But because of lawmakers (and I'm sure Big Pharma has their hands in it), it also has the greatest potential to be horribly restrictive and threatening, but only because there are old and foolish laws against it. That's the only reason there was ever any paranoia attatched to it. So I am forced to make a stand, and seeing as how I believe so deeply in it's benefits as they apply to me personally, I decide to stand in favor of it's legality, and I decide to self medicate in order to survive the threats against my health that I face day by day. I know the doctors might prescribe it if there were not so much pressure by government against it. I also know that if I wait for doctors to prescribe it to me I will die before that happens, so I have to really see it for what it is, in the realest sense of truth, it is my life, and I have found a remedy to many ailments, so I prescribe myself the one thing that has been proven to work, cannabis. Because it works, and truly saves me from a list of hellish sufferings, where prescriptions never did.
If anything they should increase the buzz, call it Marinol PM, and let the patients actually enjoy the remedy. Add a little joy to their otherwise miserable life.
