Could heavy bleeding be related to lowered platelet count? My platelets dropped pretty low during tx (course I can cheerfully report that menstrual bleeding was at no time ever an issue for me) and I would think that could increase bleeding?

I'd also suggest that the answer to that could be yes, especially based on platelets, which mean that some but not all will be affected. We had a member here in the past who experienced "break through bleeding" during menstruation, which after I looked it up looked like very serious heavy bleeding, and potentially life threatening. On that note, any heavy or continuous or frequent bleeding could en up impacting on various labs. Should ones iron, RBC or WBC fall due to bleeding in could end up triggering a dose reduction. It is worth reviewing ones original scores, possibly considering a new set of labs.
So far a the frequency of the cycle, the one thing that I've often heard is that in general it messes with womens cycles. Some women stop them altogether, other have very random cycles. In general, things seem to return somewhat to normal within 2-6 months post TX, based on what I've read.
