I dearly love writing and music.  After finding this site, I felt compelled to post a writing I did quite some time ago about friends.  This site is truly for and about Faithful Friends.

Lee

FAITHFUL FRIENDS

It has always amazed me,
how people become friends.
Paths cross by destiny,
for so many reasons.
Perhaps at a time when you need,
an honest guide to a different view,
or comfort during one of
the many storms of life;
or just someone to pass time with.
A true and faithful friend,
one who does not judge,
but is there always,
no matter what is happening,
shows their true worth.
The precious gifts given,
cannot be measured,
for some things are simply
food for the soul.
Maybe the Lord,
in his infinate wisdom,
realized these two souls
needed a true and faithful friend.
How blessed we are,
to have that light in the dark,
that warmth of touch,
whether it be physical,
or a kind word traveling miles,
to touch us within,
offering us a kind of peace,
few are blessed to know.

Nicely written, Lee! Yes indeed, your love of writing shows. And your heart shines through in the words you've shared. It's a blessing to meet such a sensitive and caring soul. I too think the Lord places us together in life, and we each go through many crossroads, some good, some bad, some entirely different than others, but some are crossings that have been arranged so that we can be touched or touch another, or to finally meet and join in some good way. That's what's happening here, and as time goes on this very same crossroad encounters many who are on the same pathways, needing to find solace in the words of a tender spirit. Sometimes it feels good to just pull up a chair and sit at that crossroads awhile, as I've been doing here, and others as well. It's made for some of the finest company I have had the pleasure of meeting, and they just keep coming. This is one of the good crossroads, so I never feel the need to run away quickly, because I know, if I just stick around a bit longer, someone will come along and make it interesting all over again. Like what you just did here. Thanks, sister.

God bless.

Thank you Mouse, Mom, Squeaker and Dude.

Mom, thank you so much for the welcome.  In going through the posts, I have so enjoyed getting to know you and the others through your messages.  And yes, the inspiration, courage, caring and hope that is shared here has helped me more than I can say.  I know i am just starting out on this new path chosen for me.  I was blessed by finding all of you here.  One of my favorite movies is Pay It Forward.  The concept has been lost for many.  Here is is alive and well.....in the sharing and caring, knowing there are those that will "hold you" in the darkest times, and jump for joy with you when you accomplish.

I so look forward to my time here, sharing, and reading all the many posts.
Squeaker, you may be sorry you told me to keep sharing!..lol...I warned you I love to write!...hug

Dude,

Your kind words touched me deeply.  I agree we are placed in places, and situations where we meet to touch and be touched by others.  It is sad many do not always realize that.  Here I find most do.  If we cannot lend a caring touch to another life, or a word of hope, encouragement to others, what is the point?  Each of us have gifts, experiences, smiles and hugs to be shared with others.  In good and bad times.  I see that here, all our paths have been different, yes, our ups and downs different, yes, but in the here and now, we have grown and learned that we must share all those things to help each other through and beyond this here and now.

I feel so blessed to be in the company of those here.  Thank you again for the kindnes and caring you show Dude.

May the Lord bless and keep you...

Lee

P.S. Hope you have a tall glass of iced tea sitting at that crossroad....smile..I sure can talk!

Thank you so much.

Blessings to you always,

Lee

HI Lee

That was very nice poem. It,s so true how we are guided  down the path of life. to fine that person or persons  to share with. Life road does have many cross roads and blind curves and hills that we all climb  . Yet from  my own jounrey along life road there has always been one  who has always kept an eye out  for me. even when iturn my back on him. he still took care of me and kept me alive. to come to this place in life with all who are here. to learn to help  just to be a friend among friends.
Even though  we have never met face to face  we care.  the face of hep c is looks just like you and me.

When  i first came to this site with a deer in the head lights look in my eyes confused sacred ,It here that i found comfort and understanding. Most of all i found hope . So if this is the path that has been placed befor me I just thank God that i have so many  good friends to walk with.  When the shot gets you down and the pilss you want dump down the drain  just  just reach out for all will be there to lean a helping hand. or a kind word .
We are so Blessd to have found this place we now call home.  like the plague s say home is were the heart is.

So  just for today we can do  this together , even though we are alone at shot time  or the side affects are kicking our butts we are never really alone, We all  might not have the same side affect or any at all.. Yet i yet to fine any one here that trues does,nt care. this you i have never found here. Cause  I truely care about each and everyone, God Bless you and keep you strong  in your walk, and safe in your day.
