Wow, I never thought I'd see the day where I was partaking in a diary thread other than the "Post Treatment" diary.  Here I sit, 8 months after I finished my first round of treatment getting ready to start my second round.  During my first round I saw a couple people do 72 weeks and thought in my heart that there was no way I could do that much treatment.  Well... there better be a way I can because that is what my sentence is this time.

Sigh, today is Friday, I'm starting on Tuesday.  I guess I'm as ready as I can get.  The bedroom is all "fluffy" and comfy with new bedding and new blankies ... I even got me some new jammies to wear to kick off #1 of 72.  Tonight I'm going out to eat with friends and intend on pigging out ... including desert!  I lost soooooo much weight the last time and had sooooooooooo much nauseau 24/7 for the entire time.  Tomorrow night I'm gonna try to get out on the boat and do some serious fishing.  Bill's taking Tuesday and Weds off so that's a big load off.  That first shot the last time around was absolute hell.

Well, anyway .... I'MMMMMM READY!

Looking forward to hearing/seeing the progress of everyone else here and the contributions to this thread.

It's Saturday.... Saturday is the day I fill my pill box.  Gasp!!!!!  I didn't have any night time meds to take ... now ... it's that nasty old Riba filling the night time slot ... I'm opting not to use the pill box that came with the Pegasys.  I'm one of those people that if it's out of site it's out of mind.  I've got two small pill boxes.  One I'll mark A.M. the other P.M.  I'll keep the P.M. box on my night stand so I remember to take that silly P.M. dose of Riba.  Just hope the cat doesn't feed it to the dog.  Hmmm..... where else could I leave it that I'll remember to take it.  Hmmm..... I know!  next to the computer!  Yes, I like that idea much better.  The computer it is.

Mouse (3 days and counting)
P.S.  Thanks for all the pats on the back.  If RedRodeo can do it so can I!

Did you have a good weekend, Missy?  Hope so, and I'll be thinking of you Tuesday.  Maybe this one won't be so hard, at least you already know what to expect.  Good luck with it!   Kiss

Dear (Mighty) Missy Mouse,

With your nest nicely feathered, and you heart & head in such a good place, I'd say it sounds like you are ready!!!  I don't have anything clever or witty to add; just know that we are here for you, my new friend.

So relax, enjoy what I hope is a beautiful day, because tomorrow will take care of itself.

All my Best,

Kerry

PS; The chat was a VERY good time last night!!!

hey missy;
good luck to you tomorrow, i really admire you for doing this again, i know you feel like you have to, i just want you to know that you are a very special person to me, meeting you when i did at week 8 or 9 through headaches and side effects, you're someone i went through treatment with and relied on all the way through it.  you know i was devastated when you relapsed so i'm here with you now wishing you all the best and i'm here to offer any support you need.

sniffle .... thanks EVERYONE.  I'm as ready as I can get.

Twas the night before treatment and ...

I'm feeling as nervous as I did the first time around.  I really thought it would be less nerve racking.  I don't get it.   Sigh.  In addition to the Pegasys and Riba, tomorrow I will also start on Celebrex and Rx strength Prilosec.  The Celebrex is a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory that Shands recommended to asist in keeping the RA flares to a minimum, the Prilosc is to protect my stomach from the Celebrex.    I truly am much more of a walking pharmacy than I was last time around but I do understand why.  My GI, my Rheumy, my PCP and Shands are all trying to to find the best way for me to beat the beast with round 2.
