It is scary.  I have taken treatment twice.  I am currently 6-7 months into my second treatment.

If you want to live, you will give up the alcohol.  I did.
I have not been successful as yet, but I will never give up.  I have children and a family and I want to live to see them.  You just make your mind up and do it!

Good luck and god bless.....jennifer

Smiley  hi jennifer and welcome to our site. i just noticed you were a new member and you had posted a message. i see you may not have figured out how to navigate the site. right now we are in the classified section where you can post to trade or sell things.  i think you want to maybe post again in the "news, prayers, and more" section. you will find this place safe and comforting.  we share, we laugh, and sometimes we cry. but we are here for each other. we support and encourage each other. i'm glad you're here and i hope we hear more from you.----linda

Welcome jennifer !
2nd round of treatment, what strength you must have.  I can relate to the family.  I have a husband, daughter age 29 and two beautiful grandsons.  I want to live to see them grow up and for them to know their grandmother.
I am on treatment, week 39 of 48 weeks. Type 4A, currently undetectable. It has been really tough.  I don't know if I could do it again.
Hope to hear more from you.

Hi Jennifer, welcome in. I know why you posted here... because Scooter posted here first, like back in last November, so it must have been misleading and confusing for you... easy mistake.

Hope to see you in the "Prayers, Friends, News and more" forum. Always nice to see a newbie! Oh, I too have gone two rounds of treatments, failing the first. And my dream is to see my grandchild one day.

God bless.

Welcome Jennifer!

I would move this thread to the "News - Friends -Prayers And More" forum, but would have to move the entire thread including the classifieds, and that won't work... I'm unable to move individual posts with the YABB software.
Sure hope to see you back in the first forum on the main page.
Glad you found your way here, and look forward to seeing more of your posts.

http://scooter first and formost you need to get and stay sober!! I was diagnoised with hep c about 7 years ago.that was aslo about the same time I was able to get clean and sober. I was told that continued alcohol use would rapidly progress the disease. there may be a good chance that a change in your lifestyle is all you will need for now to stay healthy. I am going to be starting tx. with interferon soon. I have enjoyed many healthy hopefull years in the past and have had mininal sx of hep c until rescently . all my success was a result of staying clean and sober
