Tennessee sugar bee
wasn't what I'd hoped she'd be
Soft wet kisses in the night
ran me off by mornings light

Left her standing by herself
put her heart back on the shelf
I'm no Jack of Broken Hearts
Best to leave before it starts

My whimsical lament it seems
just brought her one more broken dream
I bolted eastward just in time
to save her heart the pain of mine

Can life restrict my passion play
will every woman fade away
When love comes rushing from my soul
their wickedness begins to roll

When love is free my spirit soars
on leather wings past heavens doors
across her days, within her nights
her cries of joy, passions delight

When my bird fly's to meet me there
then we'll both know, and we'll both care
And all will be just as it should
when love is found right where it would.

...A Warriors Spirit, and a poets heart.

Always, always write, oh leather-winged warrior.

Your words honor me far more than I'm due, good friend. I'm humbled, brother. Thank you.

Truly well written and heartfelt.  Wonderful, wonderful job.

This is one of my favorite places to go.  I so love reading the writings, gaining insight into the writer.  Writing can be very therapeutic and cleansing.  Thoughts and feelings voiced by word on paper rather than spoken. Whether shared with others or not, once written they are "out".

Kerry is so right, a poet's heart.  Keep them coming!

Have a blessed day,

Lee
