Hey Jody -

Glad you dealt with the skin issues. My mom did the same treatments - horrifying is the word that comes to mind. She had it mostly on her lips which we think was a combination of sun and that heavy red lipstick they used to wear when we didn't know anything about red dye 40, etc.

And the weight gain must have you feeling more like yourself which is great - helps you see the light at the end of the tunnel.

Keep on getting well,
Susie

Wait just a darn minute here folks!!!

I'm the oldest here - technically speaking of course!!! Grin Grin Wink
I mean if you look at the age I had my liver transplant and the age of my new liver, when you add the two spirits together - the total age comes out to 91 years young!!!

Robin might just have me beat though since she just recently joined the transplant club Grin Grin Wink Cool

Hi Jody!!! My friend in the AWS forum just wrote the 2007 "Farm welding" code, and he posted it online which had me in stitches LMAO!!! Shocked Grin Cool
So you're fabricating a complete 3 point for an International McCormick-Deering Farmall H??? Just curious as to what year it is? Down below, I posted a "Farmall H" and, I also posted a link for you to look at just in case it might help in any way Cool Grin Wink
http://www.farmall-h.com/

Here's a link on the standard and other type of 3 point hitches used on some "Farmall H" tractors:
http://www.farmall-h.com/accessories.htm

Here's a link to "Worksaver" 3 point hitch adapter kits that might be useful for you to gt some idea's from:
http://www.worksaver.com/product/hkit3pt.html

Here's a 3 point hitch from Saginaw Tractor parts:
http://www.saginawcountytractor.com/

Here are some books on the "Farmall":
http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/ASIN/0760321361/deanvinsonsfarml

Like Willy, I too know what these are capable of and, I also teach welding technology so, I know of the work involved in fabricating a complete 3 point hitch Cool Cool Cool

Now as far as skin becoming dry from HCV or something liver related is concerned... The first place to look is what your complete blood work is telling you... For instance, if certain vitamin levels are low then increasing ones' intake of those specific vitamins or minerals may be necessary in order to improve one's condition... I know that for myself personally, I use Pure virgin olive oil to help stop my itching but for some, olive oil may not be the best treatment... Some folks swear by using vitamin E or cocoa butter which only helped me with my scars that look better than ever since my liver transplant but, do not help me when I itch around area's of my skin that just decide to itch whenever it feels like!!! Shocked Shocked Shocked Roll Eyes Pure virgin Olive oil is what does the trick for me Grin Grin Grin Cool Cool Cool 8)I hope the 3 point comes out

Anywho, I hope the three point comes out working like a charm for you!!! When you're done, could you post a picture of your work???

Respectfully,
Henry

Hank. I have pictures of a tractor I built and can get pictures of the H which was a super H 54 I think . It had live hydraliics.  Don't know how to send pictures to the group.  3 points, I have built probably 6-7 of them . Mostly for Farmalls, Jody

I used to have a bunch of old "Lincoln Stabilizers" that were wonderful.  I think I still may have several of the old additions of the "How I built it" compendiums of various types of home, studio and shop built projects.

I used to be pretty proud of some of the railings that I built and my methods for measuring and layout.

Hank, those are beautiful pictures and they were and still are great old tractors.  They took a lickin and kept on ticking.  I also used to keep a lot of older pick up trucks running; 50's chevys and an old studebaker 1950 3/4 ton pickup.

Hey Jody
My dermatologist told me that "lichen planus" is common in people with HCV and also HIV.....check out the name on google for all the signs.......also "lichen planopilarus" (check spelling) which affects the scalp. I had itchy bumps behind my knees and also my scalp was very itchy.  Some hair loss associated with the scalp condition......it grows back when the condition improves.  I was told the treatment is very toxic....It involves steroids.  I treat mine with MSM internally and I also put it on my scalp at night.  I've found that tanning helps. Benadryl for the itching also is helpful.  Makes you tired though. So bedtime is best for that.  Hope you found some of this info useful.  Take care.    JJ Wink
