Posting a writing from another author

I have been meaning to ask, is there a preferred place where a writing by another author can be posted? I understand copyright issues and all.  The ones I seem to come across are mostly Anonymous.

I would think the "creative writing forum" would do as long as you show who the author is unless its anonymous.
