I know I haven't been good about posting but since I've been given permission to start driving again, I find it hard to stay home. Wanted to share some good news.

Finally have my steroids reduced to maintenance so I'm hoping I lose my fat face.
I can DRIVE.
Only have to do blood sugar checks in morning rather than 4 times a day.
I can DRIVE.
Should be cutting back to having labs done every 2 weeks in June.
I can DRIVE.
Was told I looked peppier and my color was better by my dentist who didn't know I can got a transplant.
I can DRIVE.
Oh and by the way...did I say I can DRIVE?

Now remember to pace yourself because, I remember when I first got back my own freedom to move about, and I had this crazy notion in my head that I was liviing on so little borrowed time that I needed to get as much done before "check out" time... This was just a feeling, and NOT a fact!!!! Until I came to terms with this, I was fast fowarding my life, and hurting myself in the process so, pace yourself please!!!

CONGRATULATIONS ROBINS FOR REGAINING YOUR FREEDOM!!!! HOW's it feel having the wind in your hair once again??? I bet it feels REAL GOOD!!! Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy Cool Cool Cool

Respectfully,
Henry

Cpngrats Robin!!!!!  Good to hear you are doing so well.  It's great to be reminded of how well I've got it.  We take so much for granted.

Hanks right; pace yourself or you'll get grounded and lose your use of the car.  Tough love.

best,
Willy

My goodness, friends, excited about driving and being free to do something without having to find someone willing to take me, you bet your bottom dollar. I went to Little Rock the last two week-ends and am going back this one. Catching up on missed grandkid time. Thanks everyone for reminding me to not push too hard. I'm working up on building strength...riding my stationary bicycle to build up muscle mass I lost and finding out how great this old world really is. Corbell, I got my call on Thanksgiving Day (actually very early in the morning) so it has been 5 months. It's hard to believe it has been that long. I should find out about retreating in June, so hopefully, I will be able to start then, like he indicated when I went for my three month check up. Reading everyone's postings to Kerry about extending treatment, I'll be interested in finding out if I will respond again. My first two attempts (already in liver failure when done) I cleared at 5 weeks and the second time was clear at 12 weeks. I'm hoping those two attempts won't alter my chance of clearing. When they stopped me at 5 weeks, they checked my viral load just to see how or if I had responded. The second time, they did my lab a couple days before I was hospitalized and stopped. Life is good.
