The best of luck with the new drug Jodie - I know what you're going through with all this testing as the same thing happened with my husband for months.  I think one of the problems is that they don't have a definitive test for ALS, and there are all sorts of things that can cause the motor neurons to start acting up - one of them being mercury overload.

I hope this anti-oxidant helps with both the Hep C and your arm.  And hope you feel good enough to go dancing for a looooong time.

ella, thanks for your cocern, sounds like you know the drill. I have  rebuilder coming real soon. it send small shock or something to wake up you nerve system. It should be here tomorrow. Of course the doctors don't think it will help. but we will find out. Just got off the mill. Trying to get it going. I tried an Hydaulic motor to lift it up and down, wouldn't work. It woul settle a little so back to the 12 volt winch.  Joe

Helen Yes I did get it. It is very easy to use, I just don't use it enough. My son and his wife showed up yesterday evening with a big load of oak fire wood from Mo. He is an Occupational Thearupist (S) And his wife is a high powered nurse instructor. So it will get wild around here for a while. They brought 2 dogs and a kitten. Then my Grandson also showed up 6' 4" .Seems they are worried about the old coot.  jody

I had lab test done the other day and the reports are as follows.  Hemoglobin of 15.1, White blood ct of 5500, platelet of 227, 000, ( that must be viral ct)?? AST and ALT were 31 and 35, witrh normal runing less than 40 and 55.  Conclution of test , Your viral hepatitis is not very aggressive. Your biopsy last year did show mild iinflammation and minimal fiibrosis/ scarring.  What all this means I guess is I'll live for a while yet, Now if I could get this ALS to back off, that would a good Xmas present. Those results are great Jody!  Looks like you have that dragon under control.  How are your symptoms otherwise?

Ella, I never had any symptons of any kind with the hep C, The ALS is the only thing that is giving me fits. I guess because I have had it so long my body has set up it's own defense system. Joe
