Expat,

I'm your age and in the same boat as you are....I have no intention of doing treatment and over the years I have tried a number of alternative supplements in an effort to reduce the viral load and lower my alt/ast scores. Some seemed to have helped and others I believe did more harm than good. I have no way of knowing for sure, since I don't have access to a lab  to monitor my liver and bloodwork each time I experiment with someting new. Lately I've been on maintenance through alternatives and diet while looking for something new to try.

This MMS isn't a heck a lot of money and if you think the stuff won't kill you, then give it a try and let us know how things work out.

I'm open to experimentation but "Chlorine Dioxide", no way. Those days are gone forever!

Good luck,

Tom

I'm posting on another forum and a fellow member posted the following and I would appreciate other's opinions on this.......

"You should be be aware that there is insufficient information on the metabolic pathways of MMS (i.e. how much it has to be metabolized in the liver) and its safety in people with liver disease. It IS a drug, and as you no doubt know people with hepatitis and other liver diseases need to be very careful about ingestion of drugs since the liver is the primary organ involved in drug metabolism. Taking drugs of any sort (1) puts some strain on the liver and (2) if the liver is unable to properly metabolize them, may lead to adverse effects not seen in people with normal liver function. MMS may be safe for use in people with hepatitis or it may not be, I don't think anyone can tell you that for sure.

And for everyone - be very careful if you are making it yourself that you have the correct dilution as it is definitely toxic in too strong a concentration. "

need all the info I can assimilate before proceeding.....
Today, I am going in to see my liver specialist and get baselind tests [short of biopsy] and may have to wait a few days for results, so planning to start MMS next week and will keep and post a journal on daily changes.  Keep your fingers crossed....

Hi Helen, Please read my post on the other MMS thread..taking into consideration that it is just my experience and that you may react differently.  Maybe my high 'mid tx' lab readings were a result of detox [herx] reactions and would have cleared if I had stuck with it, but I chickened out and will get retested in a couple of weeks to see if MMS did improve my liver function or cause permenant damage.

If you do go the MMS way, I strongly urge you to get at least basic lab tests before, during, and after and keep us posted on this forum.  And spend at least a couple of days with 'dr google' and inform yourself before jumping into the unknown.  As far as I'm concerned, the jury is still out on MMS [for me].

I wish you the best of luck and I'm still waiting for that 'miracle'!!
