I called a friend
And listened to her problems

I called a therapist
And she gave me two minutes

I called the crisis line
And they put me on hold

I called her
And she didn't hear me

I called myself
And talked to my machine

I'm not looking for answers
Advice, or how to cope

I don't need a quick fix
Or more survival tools
Life skills or therapy

I'm just looking to deal
With tomorrow's greater pain(s)

Because I know I have the capability
To love and be loved

I just haven't been shown how.
