Congratulations Beember!  Yeah, most of us are instructed to take the Riba for a week after the last shot.

Here's hoping your road to recovery is a fast one.

Congrats Beember

Best wishes for a speedy recovery. This is where being much younger than some of us should really make a difference. Besides. . . we fossils are coming around and feeling much better post tx.  Wink  I bet you're doing better than ever in no time.

Let me think on that a bit

Hey Beem.....

Probably never thought this day would come, huh?

Be patient on the recovery. Your mind will tell you that you should just feel better right away, but your body will tell you different. Look at your progress week to week and you will see that the first thing you notice is your energy level begin to rise. Now on the brain fog......that takes a bit. You will need to remember that the meds stay in your system for 6 months post, so the greatest improvement should be after that point.

BUt isn't it good to know that you are on the downhill side and instead of wondering what side will hit you next....you wil be wondering how much better will you feel tomorrow.

Ya did it! Some can't. Congratulations!

How great to be finished with treatment. I bet you are counting down the riba snacks. Congratulations on completion of one of the hardest things you will ever be confronted with doing. Keep your spirits high...robin

Thanks guys!   Wink i was wondering do i come back in ayear and get tested or do they test me after 6 months.  I'm so juiced i take my last riba- snack tonight.  Everybody here has been very helpful.  I have one more question.  Is it possible for someone to have two different types of hep c at the same time? And is 50 million like the highest viral load you can have?  I have a brother in law that was talking to me and was telling me some things that just didn't sound right.  so just though i'd ask you guys...... you all so helpful.

Beember,

You should have your viral load checked no later than 6 months post.  If you can talk your doc in to doing it 1 month post that would be even better.  If you are clear at 6 months post then you go 1 year post and every year after that for however long your doctor suggests.  Yeppers it is possible to be infected with 2 difference genotypes of Hep C.  I know a couple of people that were diagnosed with 1a and 1b.  50 million i s not the highest viral load I've ever heard of but it's up there.

   Sincere congrats Beember,
I noticed that you mentioned you had one last riba snack?  Man,  It hasn't been that long ago that I had the euphoric priviledge of waking up and not having to grab thos pernicious pills.  That alone is a major lift.  Personally. my mental fog has lifted incredibly.  Things I never saw before seem obvious.  If, and I stress if, you have a 3 or 4 day riba withdrawal  Angry(my word, not the docs) don't sweat it.  When it breaks it will clear up in a massive way.  At least mine did.  My joints. skin and hair are being a little stubborn but if that's all there is left it's a small price to pay.   Time to conquer the rest of the world!!!!

*Congratulations*
Beember

Nothing quite like that last shot and last pill!  Then there's the wonderful days...one by one that brain fog, ailments and the rest of the Side Effect's package grow dimmer & dimmer.  It takes a little patience but so did TX so I'm sure your up for it. Kiss

Prayers & Good Wishes..... Cool
