I received a request from a lady who saw the article about my liver transplant and she asked me to post some feelers to people who may be able to help them navigate the VA in regards to her husbands needed liver transplant. He is currently hospitalized in Memphis and they hope to get him moved to Little Rock AR since the facility he is in does not do liver transplants. They have contacted their state senator and representative but are worried that his time will run out before the paperwork gets approved. If anyone has information that could help them, such as contacts or other methods to speed up the process, please contact them at:

or e-mail       @ www.sscmtnhome@centurytel.net

Thank you so much and please help if you can...keep your spirits high...robin

Thanks Ted...the guy "Terry" got listed at Methodist in Memphis after a referral from the VA there in Memphis. We have another vet that posted here "michaleabshire" who received the first liver transplant at the VA in Houston. I had sent him a PM and he has been kind enough to contact Ruth and Terry to help them with getting listed. It is so great how people pull together...one of the reasons I love this forum.
Welcome and I hope you continue to post. We are not that far apart in our lives with our new livers and since we both have HCV, it will be nice to have someone to "talk" to.
We have another guy here, Hank, who is like 11 years out from his transplant and has done pretty well. He absolutely helped me survive this post-transplant year.
