Thanks Sweetie Petie and Beckers...things got turned around and weird. My biopsy that was scheduled for tomorrow got postponed because they are having to do a biopsy of my mouth. OK...excuse me here but WTF? I've about decided that my body is being diced and sold on the black market as some kind of weird foreign food item. Do I fall in the lucky category here? I get to have both my liver and mouth biopsied in a one week period. They did offer me IV anesthesia for the mouth biopsy but said I had to pay $350 for it because my health insurace doesn't cover IV anesthesia for oral surgery...stupid Medicare.  Angry Oh well, who needs their happy juice, not I? What's going on with your mouth, Robin?

Poor sweetie, I hope this is quick and they do give you some sort of pain med. Maybe you can take something of your own first.

Let us know how it goes.

Robin,

I am at a loss for words, bless your heart, as if you didn't have enough going on. Now Medicare doesn't cover anesthesia for oral surgery. What B.S... Angry It only makes sence if a doctor orders a biopsy and it is approved, it would come with anesthesia. But heck lets throw common sence to the wind... Sad

All my best coming at you, filled with prayers...

TAKE CARE

Oh man, Robin, if it's not one thing, it's another.  OMG!  What's up with your mouth?  Like Winona said, it should fall under medical and be approved.  The insurance for the work I was having done on my mouth was being covered by two different insurances.  BC for the sinus lift and for the oral work (less the actual implants) was being covered by Delta.  It just does not make sense.

I'm praying for you!
Love,

Hey Y'all...I understand the insurance thing...they are just going to remove a crown and then remove the lump under the gum from the inside. They said it would end up being like when they scrape your roots for peridontal disease and that I'd get antibiotics and pain meds when I go home. How bad can it hurt...the bump from the outside is about the size of a kernal of corn. Today at an organ recipient meeting...they were saying that they linked weird "skin" growths to the anti-rejection meds so I don't know if your oral mucosa is considered a skin  Huh Undecided . I can get meds during the biopsy but I'm too cheap, so it's actually me that's the problem. Keep your spirits high...robin
