SW,

There is little I can add to the already great suggestions given before me....such truth and understanding in each and every one of them....Tx is not easy, but you can do it...and it sounds like you have very good odds to clear...I just finished 48 weeks...was undetectable at 12 and 24...and am awaiting my viral count from tx end....hang in there..and hold on to all of us here...we all help each other.

Blessings and well wishes as you begin this new journey,

Lee

sw - i guess it might help us to know more. like how long have you had hcv....
and what stage is your liver in?  did you have a biopsy.
and do you do drugs or drink now - only because it would not be a good idea to do those things on tx.

it helps alot to have a support group if you decide to do tx and take one day at a time like betty says.
good luck Smiley

Like all the others  said it so well. We just have to take it a day at a time and some times a minute .

Would like to know more about? and just know we all have been just at that same point you are now.
Hang tough and stay strong in your journey  just for today . Stay in touch .

SW,

I know exactly how you feel.  I was scared to death to start treatment.  I had visions of being sick all the time, not being able to work, play with daughter, or take my wife out and do things together.  However, I got through all 48 weeks of treatment and I can honestly say it wasn't that bad.  I'm not saying it was a picnic.  I had days where I had no energy, felt like I had the flu, and wasn't fun to be around, but they were definitely in the minority.  I was able to keep working, even being able to work a successful tax season (I'm a CPA) and do things with my wife and daughter.  I cleared the virus in the first month and finished treatment last August.  I will find out if I'm still undetectable next month.  I just wanted to let you know first-hand that the treatment is usually not as bad as many think.  Sure there are people who have the worst side effects, but I think most find it doable like me.  I hope my story helps you a little bit, god bless and take care!
