Mindy, I put off having a biopsy for awhile  I finally had one about 18 months ago and it was a piece of cake.  I know that some people have slightly differing results from theirs but mine was very easy, relatively painless; as Helen says far, far less than a root canal.

You should also have one since your staging is becoming more progressed.  You need to know where you stand.

Some of these things are out of your hands, you have no control over them.  The weight, diet and exercise thing, if you can work that, it could pay you back with improved response should you treat.  If you end up deciding to wait it may also mean slower progression of your staging while you wait.  I have plenty of friends in programs who end up in OA (overeaters anonymous).  Hey, I've considered going myself since I believe that if diet negatively affects my health and at times I seem to have no

Do the things you can do and let go of the things you don't have control over.  Just keep working in the general direction and you will get there.

I hope that your biopsy will be as easy as mine was.

best,
Willy
